Lyle was born and raised in Montana. He moved to the Coeur d' Alene ID area in 1985 to pursue a college degree in Criminal Justice. He was hired by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office in 1988 and remained employed until 2025 at which time he retired. His career in Law Enforcement began with the Montana Air National Guard and spans over a total of 41 years. He was a major crimes detective for 11 plus years and retired as the Supervisor of the Spokane County Sheriff's Office Forensic Unit.

Yvonne was born in Ohio. She attended the University of Arkansas Fayetteville, the University of Missouri Columbia, and Eastern Washington University after moving to Spokane WA in 1992. She and Lyle married in 1995 and they raised 3 daughters. Yvonne has lived in numerous states in the U.S., Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Alaska, and Washington. She has been a huge support to Lyle's career as well as her Daughter Dallace who has joined the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

Detective Mike Drapeau
Detective Michael Drapeau was born and raised in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. He graduated in 1986. He spent six years in the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve. He was hired by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office in 1994. He served as a founding member of the Career Criminal Unit, which was a plain clothes street crimes unit. As a member of this unit he was assigned to the United States Marshal Ad Hoc Fugitive Task Force, the BATF Armed Career Criminal Task Force, and the Spokane Serial Killer Task Force. He was promoted to Detective in 2005. In 2007 he was selected for Major Crimes / Crimes Against Persons, where he remains investigating homicide as a Detective.
